VEGAS Pro 17 Edit Crashing VS Vegas Pro Edit 18 is It better!?

I had issues with Crashing in Version 17 that I spent a ton of time isolating but never really fixing. What it boiled down to what that crashes occurred when deleting segments of time lines mostly key framed text but not limited too (would also crash with deleting small segments of video, mostly if when doing multiple deletes rapidly. This happens on about 80% of deletes while doing edits. My fix is to avoid deleting segments of video or text in time line. Crashes are very rare now in Build 452 after making many videos. This is the culmination of all threads I had over crashing. Much of the real help (and sometimes abuse) came from this forum. Zero help ever came from tech support. Any who...I see version 18 is out and I in spite of the massive amount of time lost and wasted fixing (or not really fixing) my issues I still like to support the software and am wanting to upgrade. My question is...18 More stable or am I going to ad another round of headaches and trouble shooting to trip me up and slow down the production of my Youtube videos. I short , is it more stable and worth it? Should I just stick with what I got.??

weird that it is populating the text boxes with the previous text I do. I will try to work around it for now

well the plain text with key framing is more buggy crashing and what not frequently. open a next text stream up and it populates with the last one done and when you change it it changes the one before it..then crashes..back to 17 till the next build for now.

I know for a fact that the dev team does read the crash reports, so please keep sending them in, and put your forum username or email address in the info field, if they need to reach out to you for more info, they will.

sounds like a plan, are you talking about the automatic crash reports that are generated when the crash occurs, put the user name I use here in the forum? or save the crash and make a trouble ticket and send it? Cool Beans Fr0sty Thanks. I like the idea of the crash reports, it is a lot less time consuming. Finishing the current video in 17 tonight. You could ,probably tell my frustration was rising. 😟, but as long as I have something that works I can get through it..

Yes, if you get an automatic crash report, file it and include email address/forum name so they can find you.
If you are having issues that don't trigger crash reports, file a support ticket. Hopefully they can help you solve this issue.
