After updating Vegas Pro 17 to the latest build, it always fail to activate! Here is a screenshot of the screen I get:
My computer is connected correctly to the internet with no problems, and I tried everything from disabling my Norton 360 Firewall and Antivirus to "resetting the internet settings" as suggested by the activation error!
Any idea what is going on? And why Magix does not offer offline activation just like when Vegas was part of Sony???

You've disabled your Norton but could Windows Defender be lurking in the background. It has been known to cause problems.
with windows firewall there's a public and private setting. public should always be off, as norton is replacing it. I have private turned on and it's not causing me problems but for now you could try turning it all off
I had this happen to me, a system reboot fixed it.
@EricLNZ and @Former user in Windows Defender as you see below, it shows the public as turned on and I can not change that in the Windows Defender window! However, in Windows Defender Advanced window as you see below, it shows the public as turned off!!!

Try to uninstall, reinstall, then reboot.
Normally, if you are working from home/office you should change the network settings and make it private, not public.
Unfortunately, I know nothing about Norton 360 so may be it should be configured differently.

I think my home Wifi should be set to private, but to make sure, how to check if it is set to private or public?
