Vegas Pro 17 Memory/Hardware Acceleration Issue

I'm having an issue with Vegas 17 stuttering and then crashing while hardware acceleration is enabled.

My computer specs: i7 7700K, 32GB RAM, EVGA 1080 FTW HYBRID (8GB VRAM)

The issue occurs both while scrubbing through footage, it'll all of a sudden just freeze and die, and when trying to load the project back up after a crash. While scrubbing, it'll get progressively slower, then turn into mush and crash. Then, while trying to load the project, it'll completely overload my GPU, causing two of my three monitors to go black and suddenly forget that they're connected to the GPU.

Has anyone had an issue similar to this?

My guess would either be a GPU driver issue (make sure you have the latest Nvidia Studio driver (not game ready) installed) or a faulty GPU.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

I also have problem with Hardware Decoding turn on with Nvidia NVDEC in File I/O. When is ON preview window goes flickering and black. I'm with latest studio driver, Vegas added in driver settings and so on... But I gave up at the end. I hope MAGIX fix things with hardware acceleration.

@max9
With me that option helps very much on laptop and desktop. Which Nvidia Studio driver do you use exactly (number) on which Nvidia GPU?

I've got the latest Nvidia Studio driver installed, and there's no way the GPU is faulty, I can stream 99% of AAA titles using NVENC and on max settings.

I'm with EVGA 1060 6gb with studio driver 442.19.

At beginning in first few second when turn on hardware decoding everything seems work fine, but when start to play around in timeline preview goes flickering black and completely black on some clips.

Here I make video:
