I retested again today to feel how far the lag is, but probably it's a fresh session (after turning off), so I didn't feel a lag as I was once had...

And the other problem I had is so many commands in undo list for a grade.

Hey All:

I can say that I've experienced this too - the problem is directly impacted by your project settings.

I found that going back to Legacy 8 bit for editing and then switching to the new 8-bit Full Range for grading and rendering alleviates it for me.

You might try the 'Adjust source media to better match project or render settings' or ' 'Match Media Video Settings' (upper right) too.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for this suggestion. I have moved from working w video & audio in Vegas Pro to working with just audio and I will check this out when I'm finished w my current audio podplay project, which I'm doing in Vegas Pro 17.

I believe it's extremely telling that Matrix hasn't weighed in at all on this and that if one gets an error in Vegas 17, one is prompted to download an updated version one already has. So it's pretty obvious, Matrix only cares about marketing whatever new version they have and doesn't give a hoot about long-time Vegas Pro users.

Sorry, my dyslexia at work--I meant Magix not Matrix. It's not the first time I've used this malaprop. Apologies!

<--- MAGIX employee (german VEGAS developer) :)

The support and development team is not interested in the marketing and checks this forum for feature requests and bug fixes.

Please have a look at the next update for the "Undo" bug fix for the color grading panel.

The best bug fix support from the community would be to write the reproduce steps.

- requires VP18 build XYZ

- add audio track to timeline

- click "undo" button

- crash
