Vegas Pro 18 keeps crashing when trying to import any file type...

Vegas Pro 18 keeps crashing when trying to import any file type. Formats tried: jpg, jpeg, mp4, png, mpeg, wav, mp3, mov, M2t, and I think another couple of formats were also attempted. I can open a project created in another version of Vegas Pro, 18 Pro will import the files used, with the project, but it will crash, if I try to import a file directly into 18 Pro. I use import button on the project media tab, but after a couple crashes I also tried the import media link in the file menu. CPU i9, 32 gigs of ram, quadro k4000 gpu. Vegas Post 17, and 16 Pro work well, individually. I can edit and render fine in Vegas 18 Pro, just can't import files directly, for some reason.

What formats have you tried? How are you importing? (dragging and dropping them from a folder? going to file>import?) What CPU do you have and how much RAM?

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

Here's some resources from those having Kernelbase.dll errors... it appears that often it is a windows installation error, or an error with the installation of VEGAS.

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-pro-17-crashes-as-soon-as-i-press-render-as--117695/

"my solution: uninstall all Magix software, including Plugins, Music Maker, and Vegas Pro, then reinstall it again, I am not sure if it is because of the new Microsoft update. But now I can use it again, and rendering is working fine."

https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-fix-kernelbase-dll-not-found-or-missing-errors-2623534

https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/fix-kernelbase-dll-crash-issue/

Hope one of these helps! Let us know if not, and I'll elevate this to the development team to see if they can help you (you'll still need to file a support ticket, I will help you with that as well).
