Vegas Pro 19.0 (Build 550) display refresh bug never seen before!

Frankyboy wrote on 5/6/2022, 8:06 PM

Hello forum!

I am using Vegas pro since it's first creation, WAY back in time when it was Sony Vegas up to Vegas Pro 18, and I NEVER encountered this issue before, until I recently purchased and installed Vegas 19.0 (build 550).

All the text/buttons on the left of the "transition", "media generator" and "videoFX" seems to randomly have some display refresh issue (the text disappear and re-appear only when mouse-over it). Same issue with the windows that display the animated effects on the right of the text column. Sometimes they are showing, sometimes they don't, until I mouse over the area again. I also noticed that if I reduce the whole Vegas windows, then restore it to it's full screen size, everything is back to normal. But it only last for a few seconds, and then this weird display behavior starts all over again. It's very annoying and I cannot in such case correctly use this program right now. The issue also shows up on the "render" windows' buttons.

I don't have a bug/error report to copy/paste from Vegas, as the program runs and render just fine and doesn't crash. Just I can't see anything I need all the time, and always need to do that move-my-mouse-over-the-screen game to make items appears again.

It's hard to describe correctly, so you can see a video of this weird issue here:

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks! (my editing machine specs are in my signature).

For info: Windows 10 pro runs with latest updates installed. Graphic card has also been updated with latest updates. Only Vegas Pro has this issue. No other programs on my computer behave that way.

An alternate great fix for someone bumping into that issue in the future was this article from NVDIA forum:

"But all fixes are just uninstall Nahimic 3. For us who don't want accept that solution here is simple fix: Locate this nahimic blacklist C:\ProgramData\A-Volute\A-Volute.Nahimic\Modules\Scheduled\Configurator\BlackApps.dat

and insert your affected executable application to avoid injecting your application by Nahimic. Tested on Substance Painter.exe There is no needed to restart PC or Nahimic Service Just save file Only what is inevitable is restart your stuck/freezed application."
