This depends not only on the hardware used, but in particular on the footage used, including FX, transitions, and filters, and the length and scope of the timeline. Also, whether the project settings match the material used exactly makes a lot of difference. You should describe as precisely as possible what your project contains; screenshots also help a lot with the assessment. You can't really imagine anything precise under "long projects".
Hi, this is not a preview problem, 3-hour project, when I cut, move, skip clips there is a terrible delay in the timeline. At the beginning of the edition it was good, the closer to the end the slower. I use color corrector, color curves and transitions, projekt 1920x1080 25P
I said already before that general descriptions don't help much. So here's my general suggestion for a solution (which I use by default, - because my projects are also usually several hours long, too): Simply divide your project into several sections. For me, no section is longer than 10-20 minutes, because otherwise they become unwieldy anyway. At the end, the whole thing is merged and rendered using nesting. Voilà
After the release of Update 2 the issue was resolved. Now VP19 works fast and well. I also noticed that the VP19 had stopped crashed. Now it's the best update since Magix took over from VP
Maybe it was some wrong setting that has now been fixed by the update, or a codec that has been adjusted and can now handle your media better. I can't say because I don't know your system environment and the media you use. It's nice that it works now.
