Vegas Pro 20 is the version. The current "build" is 411 in the second link I posted. Versions 402 and older will not start up unless you disconnect from the internet which was resolved in version 403 as discussed in the first link I posted. So the question remains... What build do you have installed?

Make sure it's the newest build.

I must have version 411 as I downloaded it from the link I received by e-mail when I bought it.
The problem is that even with version 403, I'm having the same problem...

Would depend on when you bought it... Do make sure you're on 411.

It will help us if we can see it crash, to do this, download OBS Studio. Open it and then press the start record button on it, it will begin recording a video of your desktop. Then open Vegas, and let us see it crash. This will let us know exactly what point it crashes at, what it is trying to load when it crashes, and that will help us to guide you to hopefully figuring out how to solve this problem. If this doesn't work, we will direct you to official support and they will help you from there. We are just a user form here, so What we can do is limited versus what the people that work for Magix can do.. but we will see if we can fix it for you before we get to that point.

OBS will save the video that you record in your videos folder, once it finishes recording after the crash, make a new post and click the little up arrow upload button at the top of the new post text dditor to attach the video to your post.

I have a similar problem, but I do not get so far when opening Vegas Pro 20. When nearly all the components are loaded I get the message 'Could not start scan server VST3-SCANNER - 32 bit'. I have tried the suggestion of trying to add an exception for the path in my AVG internet security to no avail.

'Could not start scan server VST3-SCANNER - 32 bit'.

It happens from time to time with Vegas Pro 20 and I don't think that it has much or anything to do with anti-virus issues as I also coded the exception to Norton 360 but the VST problem continued. Even after completely uninstalling Norton 360 and just using Microsoft Defender, the VST window popped up just as regularly.

And the same VST window pops up from time to time when opening Sound Forge Pro 16. It's all so annoying.

I spoke to the development team about your issue. They said to file a support ticket, including your name, email address, and serial number that your product was registered under, and they would be glad to help you.

Thank you so much for doing all this for me, unfortunately I'm already doing it in parallel with the help of the community, but to no avail, for 3 days I've been given solutions that don't work... :/
I think I'm going to have to ask for a refund.
The fact that I'm on Windows 11 + DDR5 probably doesn't help, but I'd still have liked to have some real live help, by voice for example.
Thanks anyway!

Windows 11 and DDR5 does not have known incompatibilities with VEGAS (using both here). Something else must be blocking it.

No idea, that's why I would have liked to have had human help for buying the license instead of getting emails 2 times a day... ^^'
