VEGAS Pro 21 stuck on "Initializing GPU-Accelerated Video Processing."

Hello. I'm having a serious problem with this issue. I'm hoping anybody can help with this as soon as possible. I tried loading VEGAS Pro 21 but it crashed on "Initializing GPU accelerating." From what I've heard in a tutorial, I'm supposed to uninstall the newest GPU or the oldest GPU drivers that I don't need? But I'm too afraid to do anything because my big fear is losing stuff that I have from VEGAS, like all the audio plugins. If so, then that means I have to remake audio effects in my projects. So, following a "tutorial" by someone on YouTube. So, I have four graphic displays.

  • Intel(R) HD Graphics 530
  • Intel(R) UHD Graphics
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU

The second and fourth are visibly hidden when I click on the "Show hidden devices" tab under the Device Manager setting. I am afraid to uninstall either the available Intel(R) HD or UHD graphics. Which one do I choose and uninstall? Do I need to restart my laptop in order to finish the process? All help is appreciated.

Another thing I posted the problem in the r/VEGASPro subreddit's discord server and I can't get in because of temporary outage. I just want to get this issue resolved really soon this is urgent.

EDIT: I tried disabling the HD driver but when loading VEGAS in the UHD driver the audio jumpscares me with white noise static on the right side of the screen. I switched back to the HD driver and the audio startled me again. Please help me.

Update both of your Nvidia Graphics drivers to the latest Studio version.

Update both of your Intel Graphics drivers to their latest version.

You may also wish to disable your Intel 530, as its graphics acceleration may not be fully functional in Vegas.

Reboot your computer.

Try again.

How do I properly update the drivers? Whenever I can click on "update drivers," I can't find anything. Windows Update tells me I'm all up to date and the "update driver" processor says that "the best drivers for my device are already installed." It turns out I updated the Intel (R) HD driver just now but loading VEGAS Pro gives me the same popup.

EDIT: Restarted my computer just now and the error keeps coming up.

What error keeps coming up?

What popup? You didn't mention either.

Is it a crash report, or something else?

Screen shot, please.

I forgot to say, it is a crash report, which is the same one I've been getting ever since my driver updated to Intel(R) HD. Beforehand, it was originally UHD. I have a screenshot provided here. Can the file in the report be changeable or replaced?

  1. Without a screen shot of the current crash report, including all of the problem details, I fear that no one here can help you.

My apologies! I didn't know there was an upload button. I sent the photos here for a better understanding of the issue, along with the provided crash report details below.

Here are the problem report details I encountered when loading VEGAS Pro on the Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 driver.

And the full crash report window screen with those details.

You could open the file below and see what Vegas finds when looking for and reporting if your GPU is suitable for Vegas. Open with notepad and post here. Unmanaged exception fail usually means Vegas cannot use your hardware.

 C:\Users\conve.DESKTOP-0JC6POU\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\21.0\gpu_video_x64.log

How much memory does your NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M card have? I would remove it from your system as its very old.

(Intel 3rd gen i5@4.1GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, 1080Ti GPU, Windows 10) Not now used with Vegas.

13th gen i913900K - water cooled, 96GB RAM, 4TB M2 drive, 4TB games SSD, 2TB video SSD, GPU RTX 4080 Super, Windows 11 pro

I don't see how a single computer could have multiple iGPUS and GPUs of very different generations.

What is your exact CPU and GPU model?

Once you figure that out consider doing a DDU uninstall of all the GPUs and then add the proper driver for your Intel and NVIDIA GPU. If it's really an old 9XX NVIDIA there is no studio driver.
