Vegas Pro 22 not opening

Have both Vegas Pro 19 & 22 installed. Until recently both applications would open. Today VP22 does not respond/open. VP19 functions normally.
Both set to run as Admin. VP22 functioned normally about 10 day ago No changes to machine other than W10 update.

Have logged into Magix support. de activated and downloaded latest version. Uninstalled old VP22, rebooted and loaded latest version. Still no joy.

Any bright ideas? Machine 1 in sig

Reliabilty history shows a W10 update coming through whilst installing VP22. Since then I have uninstalled 22 & reinstalled. Red mark again whilst installing.

System Image taken.

I have since installed an update of DavinciRes19.1.1 with no problems. Reinstalled VP21, opened a VP19 .veg, tested quickly with 21 and resaved marked 21. With no problems even with a nested project, opened & rendered perfectly. A further attempt with VP22 has failed. Maybe something wrong with the VP22 download but it does not explain why the origonal VP22 failed to open.

After deleting V22 and before installing again did you, to be sure, deleted this file: "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\22.0" and restarted Windows before the new install?

Said file is not present on machine. Need to try reinstalling visual 'C'

Replacing 'Visual C' solved the problem. Help appreciated many thanks.

@diverG that file to be deleted, you have to have in Folder Options>View, Hidden files and folders, Show hidden files, folders, or drives, ticked in order to see that file location. Just open any folder and in the top ribbon (I have Win11 and not Win10), Options.

I'm on W10 and show 'File name extensions' and 'Hidden Items' are permanently ticked. The good news is that VP22 is now fully functioning & stable.

Somewhat off topic I did some render tests out to 1280x720.mp4 using both Vukoder and the default Magix engine. Magix was faster by factor 2 which surprised me. So no complaints

@diverG, you should be able to see the AppData folder and then, in Local, the Vegas folder. Renaming that folder will cause Vegas to rebuild everything.

Glad that you finally have things working and are noticing the speed difference!

I use Vegas pro 22 and have worked fine for 2 months, Now the program does not start on the last boot.

Before this I had Vegas pro 21 and update to Vegas pro 22 installed and worked fine.

2 days ago Vegas pro 22 would not start anymore. Uninstalled Vegas pro 22, reinstalled it and unfortunately it still didn't work.

Then download Vegas pro 22 again and installed and the same problem.

Then I uninstalled Vegas pro 21 and 22. Installed Vegas pro 21 and works fine.

Like this Vegas pro 22 installed and won't start. I'm at my wits end, help me and show me what to do?
