Vegas Pro 22 Start up Crashes

sonicblue123 wrote on 9/7/2024, 5:40 PM

Hello everyone. I just purchased the new Vegas Pro 2022 on a monthly subscription. Every time I click on it, it automatically crashed upon start up and asks me to send a report. I have already tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it as well as deleting other versions of Vegas that I have had in the past. Is there a fix for this or a reason as to why this is happening?

It is having an issue with your GPU Graphics card.... Select "Show problem details" at the end of that problem report so we can have a better look at the problem. Along with full information about your system.

@sonicblue123 Steve is right, it is probably your GPU. I suspect in your case reinstalling Vegas is not going to help, try to "change" the drivers for your GPU.

By "change" I avoid the word update, as that usually implies getting the latest version, in your case it can be eighter getting an older driver or a newer driver.

As a side note, AMD ATI/Radeon hardware is pretty good, but their drivers are usually inferior (more buggy) to NVIDEA...

I'd do a clean driver removal with AMD's tool: https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/GPU-601.html and try the current driver as well as a (mostly) known good one like 23.7.2.
