I don't know. A crash only 3 times a day? While I edit for hours, when I take my break (stretch, water, etc.), I do incremental save, and turn off the computer.
Of course, no crashes would be wonderful, but I don't know of any editing software that has that. That is the reason for the constant bug fixing that goes on. Zillions of line of code, adding to, adjusting, massaging, 3rd party plugins, computer issues, there is always something there that can go wrong.

I mean I've been using Resolve for 6 months and ZERO crashes as compared with vegas having around 200 crashes in that same timeframe lol
Same GPU here (RTX 2080 SUPER) but no iGPU (the CPU being the KF version of the CPU that 3POINT is also using). I can't recall any crashes when using Resolve (currently 20 Studio) but then my use of Resolve is limited to using some of its features such as stabilisation - so I'm not using Resolve for editing a project.
I'm using Resolve mainly for stabilisation but also for resampling different framerates with optical flow, which is extremely fast und accurate, no matter if I resample 30fps to 25/24fps or 30fps to 50fps, the results are always perfect.
The workflow in Resolve is quite different than the workflow in Vegas and not easy, but sometimes I wish Vegas would act a little like Resolve.
... but also for resampling different framerates with optical flow ...
Yes, same here from time-to-time. And the great advantage of using Resolve for such tasks is the ability to bulk render - and bulk rendering is also an enormous advantage of using Mercalli SAL.
While your "mileage" may vary on software crashing, Resolve does crash. One trip to their user forum will clearly show you that it does. Heck, I wrote some BASIC and object oriented software that never crashed myself. But certainly, they didn't have zillions of lines of coding.
I've had Resolve Studio with Speed Editor for several years now. I thought it was supposed to be the "be all end all" editing software, with all the influencers raving about it. All the Premiere people jumping ship to it, because of crashes in Premiere. But it has crashed on me, and my Belgium body too. I guess that is why they are constantly releasing (like everyone else), bug/crash fixes.
Is Resolve bad software? Nope. It is an amazing kit for sure.
i use resolve too cuz my vegas is a bit old ( ver.18 )
I myself experienced a lot of crashes with Resolve, but it's still smoother than my old version. I'm eagerly awaiting Vegas 23; I don't want to get used to Resolve and abandon Vegas, haha.
But it must be said that Resolve has a lot of recent transitions already pre-configured, and it's a pleasure.😁
Would be nice to have improved interaction between Davinci Resolve and Vegas. Vegas would need to support OTIO and SOURCE TIMECODE for more camera formats (does support TC for Prores now AKAIK, so that's a good start.)
Don't think that "interaction" is going to happen. Each has their own agenda for survival. Might as well toss in Premiere, FCP, Media Composer, and After Effects.
You're probably right, but OTIO (open timeline IO) and source TC are open standards that benefit users that want to collaborate. You understand why allowing Vegas users to collaborate with the "big" industry players is a good thing, right? I know Davinci has implemented this, maybe the others you mention already have as well.
