Vegas stopped working - ah - not so ???

ritsmer wrote on 3/10/2017, 8:33 AM

Previewing from the TL - get the well known Vegas stopped message - But Vegas continues previewing with correct audio and video.

I let it preview happily for another minute - - then I click the button to send the "stopped" message and data - and then: Vegas stops....

Think there is a bug in the Vegas stopped message/system - I mean: maybe Vegas does not crash so often - we just get the message ?

It is not the first time I have seen this, btw.

I had that too. I gave up on VP14 and I am on SVP13 for now... so much better.

I gave up on Win 10 and went back to Win 7 because Win 10 seems to do what it wants and not what I want.

OldSmoke and JJKizak have nailed it. SVP13 on Win 7 is unbeatable. The only problem is what to do when it's time for a new computer?

had no problems with 13 on win 10 pro. not connected to net and only do so AFTER reading here and elsewhere about any potential problems with updates, etc., ;-)

"The only problem is what to do when it's time for a new computer?"

I just built an i7-6850 (see my profile) using Windows 7 Pro-64 bit and Vegas Pro 13-453. When/if I upgrade four years from now, maybe things will be different. Maybe I'll be worrying about different things than systems and software in four years.

Full Disclosure:

I was a Windows 10 beta tester. I've done other silly things in my life, too.
