Vegs pro 19

Today I filmed a music video with my Canon R5 in 4k 3840x2160 ALL-I 23.98 and 29.97 but Vegas can't import this file. I tried in my new Vegas pro 19 update 643 and my old Vegas 18 pro no success to import the files. I test and files new files on a new card, they can be played fine on VLC player and other players and convertors but can't be imported n vegas (timeline)

Bought Vegas 19 pro and 18 pro can import with no problem 4k Canon r5 videos with 4096 x 2160 ALL-I but not 3840 x 2160

Any solution will be really appreciated

Thanks!

I was able to import it fine using both decoders. it's not the least bit playable, you must be using proxies. So you have a problem. As far as performance. 1/2 a frame a second, 24% CPU, the reason for this is because Vegas FORCES the SO4 GPU decoder which is so weak it just wilts under the stress. There is no HEVC Legacy decoding that is much more powerful.

As a comparison resolve plays back using 40% CPU without dropped frames. This is what an unplayable on Vegas file looks like.

But you're not complaining about playback , it doesn't load. That's a strange one hopefully someone can help you with
