Video artefacts ONLY in Vegas Pro 14

With the "draft/full" setting I see that both in Vegas Pro 13 but also Vegas Pro 14. However, I do not see that with the "preview/full" setting.

I never ever use "draft" but the "preview" quality. So maybe that is a workaround? To avoid "draft" as preview setting?

What format and settings would you like, bearing in mind that it's unlikely any of us will want to install the x264vfw codec?

Sony AVC or WMV will be ok:)
Full HD, 50fps, bitrate 6Mb? thats all. Thanks.

Here a file rendered with the VP14 and Sony AVC encoder als 1080 50p

http://www.mediafire.com/file/s5u7aoy3d7gzgss/Rendertest.mp4

I have rendered the word "test" into the file. As far as I see there is not the blocking as reported by you if I reimport the file in Vegas Pro 14 and run the preview with "preview/full". I have also not seen blocks with the vlc media palyer.

But check it by yourself!

I have tried to repro what you have shown in your picture: so a stretch with the rendered test file, set the preview to different settings like you best/full or preview/full as I do. But as long as I do not set the preview quality to draft/full I cannot repro the blockings here.

So unfortunately, the only conclusion seems to be that there must be a differene between our machines that we do not recognize here.

If GPU acceleration is on, try disabling it. See #4 in this post.

If the media is not too large you could post a link to a sample of it, for example on Google Drive or in Dropbox "Public" folder.

I try everything, GPU disabled, render quality tested with all settings, the problem is same and its shows when playing in trimmer too.

Very strange problem, I have already copy/paste-ed project from 14 to 13 vegas and continue editing there. No any problem with same media in vegas 13. I hope they will view on this issue, I found on the Internet a lot of people with this problem.
