You are totally wrong saying that " your nvidia gpu is not decoding the video".
Indeed it never is, was and shall be my video decoder while it is not intended to do that. Decoding is a task for de CPU in combination with that so4compoundplug.dll and if that one is being unabled it is the compoundplug.dll.

so4compoundplug.dll is a hardware decoder. If you have a real nvidia pascal GPU it will use NVDEC asic to decode the video taking the stress of the cpu. Hardware decoding has always been hit or miss with vp15 which is why the OBS hardware encoding anomaly is seen & with a specific encode should be seen by everyone. Because you don't see this ASIC error, it means you aren't using the ASIC. Your hardware could be faulty, your software install or your drivers.

Hi! 🙂

So at this point I actually want to ask you all a question.

Should I wait to make the video until I get a more powerful PC or is my PC good but it's the OBS glitch that's ruining the video?

I was in the process of returning to YouTube but I don't want to return to YouTube if I can't upload high quality 4K videos.

@Pikamon101

  1. Try disabling so4compoundplug.dll
  2. Try setting "Recording" to "Software (x264)"
  3. Please let us know if either of those works
  4. If you need more help, please share your recorded file on a cloud service such as Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, mega.nz, wetransfer.com or mediafire.com

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!! 😃

It worked!!!

I did the "So4" Method on Vegas 15 and I also did the "Software (x264)" Method on OBS and those 2 methods fixed everything!

Have a great day and God bless!
