Video preview all black

Hello, some days ago I updated the firmware for my graphic card (AMD R7) and now the video preview doesn't show the video there.
I already up updated Movie Maker 17 but it still doesn't show the image there.

Tried the trick to return to default view but it didn't work.

There is no "Movie Maker 17" in the Vegas or Magix product range. Exactly what programme are you using?

Wrote the name wrong, trade "Maker" to "Studio", so "Movie Studio 17"

As additional information, what is happening is:
if you put the viewer in any part of the project, the preview show a black video (1st print), but if you change the size of the preview, it does show THAT FRAME (2nd print)

The problem is when I try to play the video it returns to black

Ok thanks. Are you using the same type of source files on your timeline? Is it just some that give problems, or all file types. Where do problem files come from? Post media info on one of these files. Instructions here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

PS. Your links don't work. "That page doesn't exist (404)". Best to post images direct to the forum using the upload button.

I uploaded the images in the forum now.

As for the problem, any type of file (movies and still images) aren't showing in the program. The prints that I posted here are using the "Example" project that comes with the installation (but any of my older projects aren't showing in the preview).

Just to add some information, the audio from video files and just audio are working just fine (and I ca even render the final project without any trouble, it renders the video in the final file, it just the preview that isn't showing any image)

As you are able to render okay with both video and audio it does tend to indicate a GPU problem decoding for preview. Probably you were rendering with CPU only?

When updating graphic cards it is recommended to install Studio versions not Game versions if you have a choice.

You have the basic VMS version, not Platinum, so I'm unsure what is available to you in the Options/Preferences tabs. Have a look to see if there are any options for switching off GPU processing and temporarily switch it off. If that fixes the problem then it will confirm your new driver firmware is the culprit.
