Video Preview on External Monitor stuck on single frame for playback

Hey, Vegas pro-brain trust. Long time user of this program, way back to Vegas Movie Studio 11. I picked up Vegas Pro 20 some time ago. I initially ran into a few issues, figured them out and it's been great. I was forced to reinstall a couple of months ago and now my Video Preview on External Monitor now sticks on a static frame while previewing. I can render and it comes out fine but even on 32" screens its difficult to use the tiny preview window when I should be able to use a full-screen option.

I have tried switching my primary and secondary for preview and it's the same.
I also tried disabling HDR
I have spent the last 3 hours reading various articles here but I can't find any options to get me unstuck from a single frame
- If I drag the cursor to scroll through my video manually that seems to work but not while "playing" the preview.
- When I play the preview the cursor moves & the audio sounds fine as it goes through the video, just the preview is stuck on a single frame when using the external monitor for either primary or secondary screen.
Windows 10 Pro
Nvidia 3060 TI
64 GB Ram
Dedicated SSD for Rendering
- The recorded files are on the same SSD
Antivirus is set to exclude the entire SSD and Vegas Pro

Drivers are up to date, I've even done a full uninstall and re-install of my nvidia drivers (I saw several posts about people having issues here)

Not sure why we're talking about CPUs or overclocking, etc. as this is clearly a GPU/VEGAS problem.

@RogerS - As it was I who raised this as a possibility in the wish to rule out any issues making this PC choke Vegas from streaming if that is the correct word, to the ExtMon. However, @RogerS, thanks for the reassurance that:

@EricLNZ Thanks for posting the reset link. I’m without a PC (waiting for my new custom built one) at the moment and having to respond using my smartphone. It’s not easy to navigate the forum back and forth with it.

Ok well after anohter re-install and then a shift + control click to default it, the preview seems to be working.

@kyle-pitts - Great, to hear you’re up and running again. These issues often have a settling down period. It must be a nightmare for the devs to read about them.
