Visual Timeline Sound Track Issue

Just when ya think ya know everything! So having a new issue, never seen this before. All the clips in the project are mp4 straight out of a Sony PMW-F3. Never had any problem with them in the past. For some reason the peaks do not show unless zoomed into the timeline. They actually appear to not have sound, though the sound is fine, until some unspecified amount of zooming in and *poof* you can see them clear as day. And they're not quite clips so it's not a normalizing type thing like I first thought. Normalizing just blows them out and they still look and behave the same visually regardless.

Anyone ever have this issue, know it's cause, or a solution?

Yep, I've seen that. It's been long time, however. I forget how I fixed it. It might have been as simple as deleting the sfk files, reopening the project, and letting Vegas rebuild peaks.

lol, made perfect sense but after doing so they don't show anything even when zoomed in. Was worth a shot though!

Do you have Premiere and Vegas both open? I don't know if it would make a difference, but could be some kind of conflict.

[SWAG]

Is your source media on a large USB disk? That configuration has produced weirdness with audio for others in the past.
