I was launching the program and it would give the alert box then the program would open up behind the alert box. If I close the alert the program would crash. If I put alert in the background...I can use the program as you would normally. Close the alert crash the program.

I don't know what you mean by "alert box" that you can close. Can you publish here a picture of it?

So, if I put the problem report screen in the background the program works, if I acknowledge or close the problem alert screen the program crashes.....Hmmm

I also installed SoundForge and the SFX package included.

Yess, we call it an error message and it is very strange that the program works if you ignore that message.
It tells you something is happening with your Windows Installation that probably is not normal but not really stops the program.
If a clean reïnstall is not stopping this behaviour send a support request to Magix and give as much information as needed and said here at C:
