I'm glad I found this forum. It was never sent out to all of us beta testers from Sony. Still looking for a way to report bugs thought. Perhaps there's not too much interest in bug fixing at Magix :)
But, you can also post it in this forum as developers are monitoring this forum (and we mods are also trying our best to help point and list some of the critical problems)
there was severe rainfall yesterday in Berlin. Unfortunately, we were forced to shut down our servers for a short period of time to avoid any damage and risk of injury.
Fortunately, our servers are back up and running now and we apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused. We hope that you can understand that we wished to respect safety concerns as the highest priority under the circumstances.
Well, I just tried using V270 - the damn thing won't activate. It just shouldn't be necessary to reactivate the software with every new update, New versions, fair enough but not for updates. This is really frustrating.

Weird, no issue to my activation.... probably you want to check to your account at www.magix.com ?

My activation always dumps my router the first time then after the router reboots it will reluctantly activate.
My apologies, on reflection I realised I had set my firewall to block Vegas because of its habit of phoning home. I've now managed to register the latest version. I'll watch to see if it is better behaved.
Having used build 270 for more than a week now it seems that the "Vegas stopped working" message does not pop up so much any more? So far I have only seen it once in 8 days (when I started a second instance of Vegas)
Is it just on my machine - or have other users also noticed this too ?
Thanks, I've only seen the "Vegas stopped working" message with Vegasaur installed. But I still think this is a Vegas issue rather than a Vegasaur issue because Vegas hangs around in memory after it is closed.
I have Vegasaur installed and that is the exact message I have had many times, usually in connection with rendering. I posted it in another thread here.
And yes Vegas does leave a process running after it quits.
so i tried to install the new #270 Release and had bad luck, cause now Vegas 14 Pro is just gone from the System.
1) Error Message
First i had an error that was caused from the MS Installer. So i unregisterd it with msiexec /unregister - reboot and msiexec /regserver.
The followed this Error
2) Error
Anyways the regestirering didnt help. And i was wondering why the Installroutine is searching the msiexec in the \SysWOW64 folder. Ok, so i made a copy to that folder.
Argumente: MsiExec.exe, C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\,</Data> <Data>(NULL)</Data>
So after the copy i got this:
3) Error
So the update just killed the '162 Release and ther is no way to get the old version i guess. Also nut sure if that would help. I'm thinking about a format c:
