VP14 crashing with large projects

Ross wrote on 10/8/2016, 3:41 PM

VP14 will not handle large projects. I tested the following:

Project 1 - 19 clips 692Mb data - seems OK - could open and put all clips on timeline - could render test file. Also could import the same test project from VP13.

Project 2 - 123 clips 4.06 GB data - could add all clips to timeline but crashed when I did just about anything (click on render as, resize window, select timeline) Most times screen went black or white and computer had to be reset.

Project 3 - 388 clips 13.1 GB data - could import clips (in three parts) and save but could not add one clip to timeline without it crashing.

System info: Processor AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955  Ram: 6 GB Primary disk ; 500 GB SSD

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro (64bit)

I cannot use this version if this continues. I will have to go back to VP 13. I have no trouble with VP13.

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks

Ross

yes even 388 clips seem ok in VP13

Forgot to say clips are m2ts files from Sony camera.

I have sent in a ticket on this
