VP15 is a crashing disappointment

After a week of trying to get the program to even start without crashing - including every single option to resolve the crashing listed in the FAQ, and the slow as molasses tech support via email I've had to come to the realization VP15 was released to market before it was remotely ready. Although I love VP13, the added features of VP15 is why I was so hopeful - instead it won't even start on my laptop. (Removed all third party plugins, restarted in safe mode, uninstalled and reinstalled using Geek uninstaller and CCleaner to remove all registry entries for VP15)

I'll have to use VP13 begrudgingly but I'm going back to PPro CS6 since I know it will run as expected. A shame since I was about to plop down my hard earned $$$ for VP15, but since I do edit remotely some of the time, I need software that free's me, not hinders me. VP15 can't even be tested - no matter what solution is provided by the FAQ, Tech support or the forums.

Unlike others, I didn't try to test it in the middle of a project - glad I didn't - I would have been hosed. I hope MAGIX updates the app within the 23 days I have left for the trial, otherwise I'm left with ditching Vegas (again) - as much as that pains me to say.

Cliff, I don't know the internals of Vegas, but it would seem the problem is in .net, versus GPU on/off drivers, etc. - because it's crashing even before you open a video file. But .net is needed to just draw the UI, and you said you had errors with .net. I hope this steers you down a productive path. I've been using version 15 for a couple of weeks and produced about 10 videos with no crashes at all. But it does slow down over time, and I have to restart. Good luck.

I've confirmed that both .NET 3.x and 4.6.x are installed and the latest versions are activated so no .NET errors. I'm no slouch to computers but this issue has me scratching my head and becoming more frustrated. What else could I be missing?
