VP18 nested veg render any faster than old versions?

My trial's expired so I can't find out for myself.

I've only just discovered the usefulness of nesting projects but also discovered that the final project renders at 1/4 normal speed or worse. It's really bad if you have any sfx going on.

I've got enough going on that just rendering and forgetting isn't a viable solution.

Has anyone compared the speed of VP18 in rendering nested projects?

I tried it with a long 50p FHD project. My difference in renderspeed was very little.
The render of the whole project went with an average of 70 fps and with the nested project 64-65 fps. That is for me acceptable

@michael-harrison, I did a test for you:

The nested 50p FHD project is 1:03 long, see render template attached.
Render time nested: 1:27:38
Rendering time with batch rendering Vegasaur (6 individual veg's) 1:19:50
Vegas Pro 18, Build 334
