Did you try Resetting Vegas first rather than reinstalling it?

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/

Is the render progress window hiding behind the Vegas main window?

To check, click the Restore Down icon on the title bar, and size / move it out of the way.

Hi Mark-y and thank you for your comment. Yes I tried to reset Vegas first with no luck, so I downloaded a new copy of VP18 and reinstalled, but again the window is missing. I tried the Restore Down and a few other things to see if the window was hiding somewhere, but again no success. Not sure what to try now; I guess I will go through all the menus and the hamberger options to see if I can get a clue. It is not the end of the world but just frustrating.

Thanks again

BobH

I don't think there is any menu or other option to restore it, it's not user configurable.

I'd search for Microsoft .net needed in VEGAS and try reinstalling those.

As a workaround SEMW has its own render progress window. https://www.semw-software.com/en/extensions/

Hi RogerS and thank you for your post. I have been through the process of reinstalling Microsoft Net Framework, but this made no difference. I will download and try SEMW but how do I install it?

Thanks

BobH
