I assume the "Huge Content Pack" is the items mentioned towards the bottom of this page https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-pro/

As for VP23 it hopefully isn't far away so if you are not in a hurry to update then maybe it is better to wait.

@Jiri-Vlach According to this link, in Suite 22, it includes:

VEGAS Pro Transition Pack (25)

5 Cinema LUT Packs

5 Song Collections

Studio Box Mark II: Complete Collection

I think 23 would be better. However, Magix has not disclosed any other info about VP23 at present. I'm not quite sure if similar content will be provided in VP23.

You can take a look at Derek's reply about VP23: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/pre-order-vegas-pro-23--149320/#ca939190

Using VEGAS Pro 22 build 250 & VEGAS Pro 21 build 208.

I think it's not a good idea to buy an (older version) of Vegas just for the "free" extra gifts. Not always are these "free" gifts complete versions and not always are these gifts usable in future versions of Vegas. Also IMO always edit with the latest version of Vegas to get the best editing experience and forget about extras.

Dexcon wrote on 7/28/2025, 3:11 AM

While there's a history of bonus extra programs being license-locked to the Vegas Pro version with which they came, that shouldn't be an issue with the "Huge Content Pack" because none of the products that come with that pack are programs requiring installation using an .exe or .msi file; most of the pack are audio files in the .WAV format. Producer Planet is almost certainly the source of the Studio Box Mark II collection:

https://producerplanet.com/us/article/studio-box-mark-ii-complete-collection-5901/

The song collections are also .WAV audio files.

In this forum thread, a comment from a VEGAS staffer notes that the media can even be used outside of Vegas Pro.

The transitions are .VEG projects that are added to an Adjustment Event on an upper video track - see this thread about the transitions with the OP posting a reply from Vegas Support about how to use them in Vegas Pro.

The LUTs are .CUBE files, a common format for LUTs.

@Dexcon, your link to "see this thread" goes to ProducerPlanet, not to the thread about using .VEG transitions in the adjustment event.

But as a side note, if the cost of getting VP22 Suite doesn't hurt the pocket (I already have it), I would go for it. Sometimes, things don't carry over to a new version, and you should still be able to have both VP22 Suite and VP23 installed at the same time.

Oh thank you, guys!

Well, i'll wait to a new version Vegas Pro.

Reyfox wrote on 7/29/2025, 4:26 AM

@Jiri-Vlach, sometimes, not all the time, there will be addons that are attractive that I've wanted. But figured I'd wait for the next version, thinking that they will be included. When the new version is released, I come to find out that some things are not cared over.

Now, I buy without the thought of what might be coming next. One thing about Vegas, you can have multiple versions on your computer and can back and forth between them.

For what purpose, projects made in latest Vegas version are not editable in earlier versions of Vegas. Projects made with earlier versions of Vegas are editable in latest version of Vegas as long as you didn't use plugins (extras) that are not taken over.

Reyfox wrote on 7/29/2025, 5:26 AM

I've been able to copy/paste from VP22 to VP21 without any issues, and I do use the same plugins in both. But moving edited timeline events has always worked for me.

This has been an asset in comparing such things as rendering times between different version. I'll always start my projects in the latest version of Vegas that I have. So I will copy/paste to a previous version to see performance differences.

@Reyfox Copying/pasting from one Version to an earlier version works only for projects with NO trackfx, NO trackmotion and NO parent/child tracks.

Reyfox wrote on 7/29/2025, 7:24 AM

@3POINT, thanks for adding the disqualifiers. I personally rarely use track fx or motion.
