what exactly is hdv 1080-50i HQ?

just noticed, and tried the above setting that i found at the bottom of the 'render as' selection.

can't say i can see any difference, in either pic, file size, etc., but i'm working on a series of paintings at the moment, so there's little movement. haven't got any head footage, to play with at the moment, nor horses, which i'm really interested to know if they look better galloping in HQ or not - they certainly DO look better in hd though ;-)

Is it below the Blu-ray section? I don't have that on my list of templates.

That sounds like a custom render template that someone has saved on that computer. Possibly same as HDV 1080-50i but with the quality slider ramped up to 31?

Sounds like a template for the FullHD from the EX1.
1920x1080 35Mb/sec VBR?

my mistake - it was one of my 'test' templates which i'd totally forgotten about since i'd deleted (or thought i had) all of them after a few trial runs.

btw, i did a careful compare, on pretty basic footage and couldn't find any difference between default slider (quality) position and 31....
