1) Fix pre-rendering!!! Love this ability just wish it wasn't so flaky.

2) MOTION TRACKING!!!

I'd like to see:

1. P2 support
2. more codecs: dvcprohd, digibeta, dvcpro50, apple prores nad any other popular format the all the pro NLEs have been supporting for years.
3. Tight Cineform integration like Adobe has
4. real time audio plugins on a per clip basis rather then per track.
5. Spectral editor for audio
6. ability to easily make two left and right mono tracks into one stereo track
7. OMF support

that's all I can think of off the top on my head.

Forget version 9, here's what I want in version 10:

Speech recognition; you say, "the stuff is in the latest project folder, edit it" and then you go watch TV while Vegas edits your project (perfectly.)

Don't know if this has been mentioned... haven't read everything here but....

a GOOD internal Deshaker/stabilizer!

It would also be nice to see a few more transitions. Vegas has a lot of variations of SIMILAR transitions, but is a little scanty on unique transitions (like the "cubes" transition for example)

And finally... a switch of some kind to set up any transition as a default (for both audio and video)

Speech recognition? I've been all through that. You would need about 100 quad processors plus another 100 processors to filter out all the microphone baloney problems. And then it probably still wouldn't be 100% accurate.

Hey I like it re voice recognition... as long as we're dreaming here, I'd like the "backrub" button to work too.

You know, the one where you click and it sends out virtual arms to give your neck and shoulders a good rubdown....:p

But seriously, hmm yes a big upgrade to DVDA so that it's more like PP's would be great, and ditto re motion tracking, especially for pan/crop functions, so it works more like AE, would be helpful, and definitely an flv output that's at least as good as on2 would be super (that would be my #1, an flv output feature, that's easy to code, and would save us all a step)...

Update: working on a project as we speak, hey an "UH Remover" would be great too, for the audio track, lol... I say the word "uh, umm" too much, still, and have to manually expand and edit those out... sadly that'll always be an audio editor's challenge I suppose... I still like using Vegas for audio as well as video editing, I find I like being able to stack multiple timelines' audio much better than using soundforge or audition... "Vegas, not just for video" ... good since it started out as an audio app anyways..

back to work,

I would like a 64bit version, that is all.

I would also like to see a Project Edit Timer like DJ said. Sometimes I work on multiple projects, and would like to be able to keep everything separated for more accurate billing.
