What makes Vegas Pro unique?

I have used Vegas since it was just an audio editor and in fact it is still my main use of Vegas. The main feature for me is the ability to stretch and squeeze audio to get tracks into sync that have clock drift etc from multiple audio sources like multiple video cameras on a shoot and zoom audio recorders etc. Yes the ability to overlap clips and get auto transition is great feature too. However my main video editor is EDIUS with the second Resolve Studio. The only time I use Vegas for video editing is for a very quick edit for my family videos in AVCHD when I can do everything very quick on the timeline including the transition as I mentioned.
