John Meyer has a good workflow that saved me a lot of calculations/headaches, so I have been experimenting with that.

Glad it was useful. Email me if you run into a snag.

>> I'm scurrying to make a submission deadline for my latest film, "The Cowboys of Florida".

As an Australian "ex cowboy" (20 years plus ago) this held a particular fascination for me and I loved the clip. Almost started yoddlin' when I heard the 12 string and mournful lyrics :)

For my part I'm just finishing up a new South Australian fishing DVD that was done entirely in Vegas (1st time user). Our first project was done in a toy editor and myself and business partner still made some good coin so we reckon we're on a winner again.

If you're into fishing, check out our (now considered quite poor in comparison) promos and clips from Steel City Snapper at www.bentstick.com.au. The new project clips will be online soon...

A weekly TV show for PBS and some corporate work with the hopes that the TV show will soon pay the bills so I don't have to do corporate anymore.

GrooveDude ...

I'm shocked no one else asked if your client plans on getting clearance for using those video clips from "Glengarry Glen Ross."

Seems like a great risk for very little benefit.

What am I working on?
The documentary for Snapcase (hardcore rock band) slowly chugs along, with attempting to get national artists to submit self-interviews about the band (no budget to travel).
I've got a training video in the pipeline for a drag racing company, to teach race teams how to tune their fuel system.
All this while keeping my day job doing Web design, print graphics and marketing for an architecture firm.

I'm heading towards the end of a 6 month project on signed language development for children born deaf - about a 30 min program. I've edited, done the voice over, added text captions - now have to write the music and video a lady who will visually sign the entire script so I can Cookie Cutter her in at the side of the widescreen frame.

just finshed 30min doco on artist for cable (national perhaps) - hence all my recent postings re working with scans, digital stills, etc.,

about to start editing promo and tv ad for local area council, including aerials, hence postings about aerials from fixed wing - and a big thanks to vitualbud ? deshaker - worked wonderfully.

shooting an opening next week followed the next day by talk by artist along with national art celebrity - looks like it's going to be fun.

and finally, trying to decide which camera to get (digital slr - nikon, canon, olympus) with which to use in my next doco. had enough of video!!!! am going to do the whole thing al la burns, since a fair amount of material is already stills (another artist - i sort of specialise in this area)

oh, and wondering what the **** happened to my retirement!

Just finished a segment for a wedding video, yes a wedding video.

A photo montage. Pretty cool. Didn't realize you could convey such emotion just with music and stills.

On of Vegas's truly strong features is the way you can work with stills.

Off to bed.....night Vegas Folks.

We just completed a pilot run of three video podcasts for the computer animation industry. We premiered on iTunes at number one under a search for computer or 3D animation, which is beyond our expections!

Video was cut on Vegas and Final Cut. Final encode to iPod was done with Quicktime Pro. The Broadcast ID package was done in Lightwave. Check it out and subscribe if you're into animation.
