Mine was 931 in May and now (August 2013) it's 932. By the way, when I installed 932 on a Windows 7 operating system, it did not overide the existing 931 version. It also did not automatically change the START menu icon from 931 to 932.
The 932 version I downloaded from the MY ACCOUNT tab on the above menu either automatically detected, or similar, that I am using a 64-bit system.
The 932 version opens and runs much faster than the 931 version. I thought my 931 version was for 64-bit as well.
If you're having the 'HItfilm' error message appear when you open 932 (because your graphics card is insufficient), go to your Movie Studio 13 folder in your PROGRAMS folder and delete or move the "HitFilm.ofx.bundle" folder which you'll find in the 'OFX Video Plug-Ins' folder.
I had deleted all traces of HitFilm from my hard-drive(s) - even in the registries - but 932 reinstalled a reference to it nonetheless.
As far as release notes online, they often leave a lot to be desired when it comes to being updated.
Otherwise, as far as "whats New in ver. 932": (Just for clarification, it's BUILD 932 not VERSION 932.):
My application is running much faster and smoother so far.
The confusion is because there are three different situations under discussion.
The August Release was an update to the basic Movie Studio. It had not been updated when the 931/932 builds of Movie Studio Platinum/Suite were released on 4/30/14.
I really could find no difference between the 931/932 builds and the original releases. I assume the updates were to address installation problems that some people were having, rather than actual updates to the "working" parts of the programs.
Doc, if you were running Build 931, you were running the 32 bit version of MS Platinum. When you "updated" to Build 932, you actually installed the 64 bit version. You can run both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions on a 64 bit system, which is why it did not install over your 32 bit version.
It's good to know you find the 64 bit version faster than the 32 bit. I have not found any difference between the two except in terms of rendering. During rendering the 64 bit version seems to render HD video about 10-15 percent faster than the 32 bit version.
