Hi. I just tried these search terms and nothing turned up.
I have looked in my C drive Sony folder for where the original movies are "stored" and cannot find them yet.
These would be downloads from media cards. My movie clips start off as .MOV's.
I convert to a MP4. I set up my folder for that movie project, import the MP 4 and begin editing.
Let's say I get halfway done but need to copy that .VD file to another PC and resume editing.
When I copy the .VG file will I also copy the MP4 or is there another new clip stored elsewhere that the .VG refers to?
I have Studio 11 and the new 12.
I am having problems locating my source footage with Sony Vegas Pro 8 on the other video forum. However I also want to understand how Studio uses/stores the movie clips when you begin editing.
I also searched the general internet and nothing solid turned up. Someone did talk about a "Master Video Folder" however. Sounds good to me...
I know you think I am crazy and right now I do feel crazy.
Respectfully submitted,
Bill
