White flashing in timeline, appears after 1st render

Mike-Batman wrote on 5/25/2021, 4:38 PM

Hi all,

Newish to both editing and youtube here and have come up against a problem that I haven't been able to work out yet.

My latest creation exhibits distracting white flashes at irregular intervals - here's a link to demonstrate, the flashing effect starts only a second or two into it and can be seen on the timeline too ...

The original footage is Gopro Hero9 and shows no sign of any flashing - link to one piece of the original footage here, sure hope the link works ... https://1drv.ms/v/s!At26wYO-N7Lfg5U7UhDDDlCfN3lw0w?e=eypLIT

I've setup ready for render a few times now. Prior to the any render there is no flashing showing on the Vegas timeline. After any render it shows up on the timeline and I work out how to remove it - no idea how which setting might have caused it to happen, though I'm a long way from knowing what I'm doing with colours and fx.

I have issues with crashing fairly regularly too.

Sure appreciate any suggestions anyone has, more info below and in signature.

Thanks, Mike

The driver for the graphics is up to date?
Please show a screenshot of the Help / Check for driver updates function in Vegas Pro 18

Thanks Walter, this is what I have now - I think this shows that my driver is up to date (I reloaded it again anyway)

update in English:
Your screenshot shows that the system version of your driver is no. 27.20.100.8280,
and that a driver with the number 27.20100.9466 is available for download on the Intel page.
If you press the "Download" button, the driver should be installed.

If you then (after restarting the PC) call up "Help - Search for driver updates" again in Vegas Pro, the "System version" and the "Online version" should be the same.

Oops, my screenshot in yesterdays was prior to my reloading it. This is what it looks like now, its up to date and the problem still persists - I'm using google translate to read your comments. Thanks again Walter.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?
