A good place to start is the tutorial we did for your "rodeo" dvd -to- vimeo.
Here it is in case you misplaced the link.

Well your response made me feel like a goof but now I guess I'm the official village idiot here because I can't even get it to play...shouldn't VLC be able to play it?
I have Adobe installed on Chrome but it seems it has to be downloaded and won't stream. When i click find software that's compatible it opens an Adobe page stating I already have it installed....your patience is most appreciated!

I opened it by downloading the file in my Linux web browser (I don't get on the web with Windows), then dragging it onto the link for my Firefox icon in Win7-64bit (it wouldn't play in my Linux Firefox even though I have Flash installed).

1. Download the file to your desktop.
2. Drag to any browser that has the Flash plugin installed.
3. Or, open in the standalone Adobe Flash player.

Thanks but it seems Adobe doesn't have a standalone player for 64 bit and the only other one I can find (by googling 64 bit flash player standalone) is called Standalone Flash Player at x64bitdownload.com....but it continuously states "please wait contacting download location".
I'll keep trying though...thanks again sir

Won't it play in your IE or Firefox browsers? Do you have Flash 9 or newer plugins installed?

So, is anyone here using handbrake to render avchd to make blurays? If so, what authoring program can be used that doesn't force recompression like dvdarchitect?

"So, is anyone here using handbrake to render avchd to make blurays?'

I thought that might be one of the next undertakings. Maybe you'd like to lead the pack.
Some good starting information here (follow links at bottom of page:

TMPGEnc Authoring Works will smart render HDV to Blu-ray, so perhaps it will do the same with AVCHD.

You can even demux the smart rendered .m2ts files and bring them back into DVDArchitect if you prefer its authoring interface, or if you need more advanced features such as 'resume' or more than 2 subtitle tracks.
