Twixtor can generate new frame according to video when we slow down the video. It is more meaningful than Vegas-17's optical flow.
That is what "optical flow" slow motion does, it interpolates new frames from the existing ones. This is not the same as resampling, which is what Vegas currently does. I'm not saying what 17 is said to offer will be any better than Twixtor, but the two are basically the same thing.
@Kinvermark & @fr0sty The Pro version allows for Vector Pinning in AE and another NLE. This ISN'T something for Vegas. When VP17 comes outta the closet I'll do a Compare and Contrast thang.😎
BTW, just installed TX7. Works very fast on my new MONSTA! I'll give it the WAGGLE RTT and off I goes. Another idea grabbed.

In the field of generating new frames, I think there is no other can do better than Twixtor.
Why would a Re:Vision(TWIXTOR) developer come here and give feedback? Why would a MAGIX (VegasPro) developer come here and give feedback on any third party development? @lan-mLMC, we've been here before and we will revisit it again in the future too. Us Users are in the middle.
"Because they add multiple inputs which Vegas does not support. It's the same engine inside. PRO supports up to 3 layers (each needed a matte input) and Vectors (often generated by a 3D animation renderer) require on top that everything be done in floating space... and it's really a workflow for compositing systems. By breaking it like this we don't force people to buy a product with a lot of features they won't use. Note for comparison, the only reason we support PRO option in Resolve is because it now integrates the compositing application Fusion, on the Edit timeline of Resolve you have the exact same plugin as in Vegas."
Then, will vegas-pro's developer desolve this problem?
Vegas Post does support 3D rendering (you can import 3D models into it from what I gather), so it's likely.

It may be worse. Twixtor works well where other software doesn't. It is the reason why Davinci Resolve users wanted Twixtor support for the longest time. Resolve Optical flow is just not very good in my limited use cases & in the opinion of other users.
I attempted a meme type thing using resolve optical flow using source of 30fps greatly slowed down. It had a start/stop motion to it rather than the smooth expected
I don't have twixtor for Resolve & twixtor for vegas is crashing currently. Not an expert but I think that stop/start motion you see with resolve is because it doesn't handle 30fps source well when slowed down that much & Twixtor is smoother with 30fps material but still not perfect either. I realise if you had the choice you'd never use such low fps source material. And also wouldn't use 1/60th shutter either.
One thing that almost convinced me to buy Twixtor was Vegasaur's "velocity to twixtor" command. That way you can easily do all sorts of fancy speed ramping using a Vegas velocity envelope and then convert it all to Twixtor keyframes.
If we get very lucky, the new Vegas 17 optical flow & new Vegasaur (if there is one) will do this.
