Will XDCAM EX ever smart-render again?

In a previous release (VP10 maybe?), Vegas Pro used to smart-render XDCAM EX files. In a subsequent release, it was removed due to supposed errors (though it worked perfectly fine for me). Will this feature ever be put back into Vegas Pro or has it been removed forever?

Yes, that explains why it was pulled out, but I still wish to know if it will ever be put back.
