Wont load videos MS 17.0 Platinum

Hey all, just got MovieStudio 17 Platinum and I'm trying to edit a 1440p mp4 gameplay video, but everytime I try to import the video it just says the media couldn't load and the reason couldn't be deteremined. I tried uninstalling and re-installing, and I also tried a .mkv type video and got the exact same answer.

To import the video I'm trying the Add/Arrange media option and the Add Media button above the story board, which I'm assuming is correct.

Anyone know what's going on before i have to refund? Thanks.

One possible problem jumps out. Your file is VFR and the variation is huge.

VMS, like most video editors works on a fixed frame rate. The usual recommendation is to use Handbrake (a free download) to convert to a fixed frame rate file and use that.
