What O/S are you running?

Are you able to edit files in Sound Forge XP without a video editor?

Windows 10

Have you run the Windows Compatibility Troubleshooter?

I'll admit that I ran Sound Forge 4.5 under Windows XP but haven't seen it for decades.

No. I didn't know such a thing existed. I'll look for it. 😕

Sound Forge now opens, but will still not work with Movie Studio Platinum 15. Maybe I'll just upgrade the programs. Thank you.

@Mel-MacKaron How are you trying to get from VMS15 to SoundForge?

I would right click on the Audio Event and select "Open copy in Audio Editor".

If that doesn't work then look in Options/Preferences/Audio tab under "Preferred Audio Editor" to check SoundForge is there and showing the correct file path.

If SoundForge opens on its own I would expect it to open when VMS asks it to.

Yes, I tried both of those, but with no luck. But I just purchased an upgrade of Sount Forge, so I hope that will help. But thank you for the suggestions.

Sound Forge XP is over twenty years old, and is a 32 bit program. I think you are wise to upgrade, be sure to ask questions.
