Thanks Nick,

I must admit I hadn't realised that they'd improved the save still picture function - can now be done from Timeline or Trimmer, and it automatically changes to Full/Best whilst creating the still. Nice improvement.

I thought this was a good video. I must admit there are times when I read the release notes and some features or fixes go over my head because they don't directly impact my work flow. Being able to watch the changes of 9d was helpful in better understanding and I can "add" the new features to my workflow.

I agree that was very helpful. I wish they would come out with a quick patch for the loading problem though. Considering how many people are having the issue I'm surprised they did not come out with a fix in a couple of days.

So, let me deconstruct that bit of logic: The greater the number of people raising a tech issue the quicker that issue will get fixed. Is that it? Well, maybe, just maybe the "factors":

Numbers Of People

and

Time to Get Fixed

may have just another function wrapped into it? - How about Complexity!

Maybe the fix is taking longer than you and I would think 'cos it is a real hard issue and that they are wanting to strip it down to something a bit more fundamental - and want to get it tight as a drum?

Just a thought . . . .

And yes, I too have sent my findings into SCS.

Grazie,

I'm not a computer engineer so I admit I may not understand the complexity of the issue. But considering it was not an issue in 9.0c it seems like it should not be difficult to fix. At least to me :)

Are you sure? How do you/we know that it wasn't - eh? I don't?

as I said above, PLUS the actual time that it is taking, kinda indicates to me that there is complexity involved.

Grazie

Did you ever hear anyone complaining of ten minute load times before 9.0d?

Must every one of these threads get destroyed and side tracked by some one's snide comments of dissatisfaction???

You're pissed? Gotta problem? Then go start your own thread.

I agree, not in 9c - and that is the very big clue to me. And again, that doesn't mean that 9d hasn't gotten itself slow to load too, for reasons that hadn't yet manifested themselves in 9c.

Now I wonder what IS in 9d that wasn't in 9c? Let me think for a moment . . ? Can you think of any difference between 9c and 9d? Can you?

And I repeat, if the fix is taking time then this indicates to me the real issue is being taken very seriously indeed.
