Backup locations for every Vegas Pro preferences, presets and setting!

Here is a list of locations for each item in Vegas. To back up when formatting the PC!

Favorite plugins from: VFX, Transitions and Media Generator:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro\Favorite PlugIns

Windows Layouts and Keyboard Map Customized:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\VEGAS Pro\"Version number of your vegas, ex: 18.0, 19.0, 20.0, etc."

General Preferences like: ram usage, track color, deprecated feature, auto save time, etc:

To export. In vegas go to: Options>Export Preferences...
To import. In vegas go to: Options>Import Preferences...

Presets from: VFX, Transitions and Media Generator:

Scripts:

Vegas built-in scripts:
C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro "Version number of your vegas, ex: 18.0, 19.0, 20.0, etc."\Script Menu

Ideal location:
My Documents\Vegas Script Menu
(by placing in this folder the scripts work and any version of vegas)

Render Templates:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\VEGAS\Render Templates

Project Properties Templates:

VP19 and earlier versions.

To export. In Regedit go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sony Creative Software\VEGAS Pro\19.0\Metrics\VideoProProfiles
*Being the version you want to import.

In the left corner of the Window. Right-click the VideoProProfiles folder and click Export. Save wherever you like. To import in the future.

To import into same version of vegas: Just double-click the registry entry file in the folder you saved and confirm.

To import into a version prior to VP19: Right-click the registry entry file in the folder you saved it to and click edit.
On the line where you have:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sony Creative Software\VEGAS Pro\19.0\Metrics\VideoProProfiles]

Change the version to which you want. (Remembering only versions prior to VP19.)
Save the file. Then just open it normally.
*This procedure can also be done to import pre-VP19 versions to later versions. Being limited up to version 19.

VP20.

To export. In Regedit go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VEGAS Creative Software\VEGAS Pro\20.0\Metrics\VideoProProfiles

In the left corner of the Window. Right-click the VideoProProfiles folder and click Export. Save wherever you like. To import in the future.

To import into same version of vegas: Just double-click the registry entry file in the folder you saved and confirm.

To import from a version prior to VP20 to VP20: Right-click the registry entry file in the folder you saved it to and click edit. Replace the line where you have:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sony Creative Software\VEGAS Pro\19.0\Metrics\VideoProProfiles]
For:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VEGAS Creative Software\VEGAS Pro\20.0\Metrics\VideoProProfiles]

Save the file. Then just open it normally.
*This procedure can also be done in reverse to import from VP20 to versions prior to it
