RE: VP19 new build 361 gets the crash window on every close down
Anybody know what the changes are in 361? There's a button on the update window that provides the following: Features · Update to OpenVino 1.4 · Danish voice added to Text to Speech · Added a more accurate optical flow mode for the Slow Motion

RE: V19 Bug or missing feature-NOT MAJOR
Rendered to a Blackmagic MJPEG and Sony YUV, neither one showed the speeds, so as far as I know, nothing special. It works as expected on ProRes and MC Mpeg.

RE: Does Vegas Pro 19 Support .R3D Files?
@fr0sty ...I didn't see anything saying they could handle ProRes-Raw? according to the specs on Vegas' sight -these are the files it says it supports [Video: Blackmagic RAW*, HEVC/H.265, AVC/H.264, MP4, MPEG-2, MPEG-1, AVI, WMV, M4V, Sony XAVC /

RE: Does Vegas Pro 19 Support .R3D Files?
VEGAS has ProRes RAW and BlackMagic RAW, and supports older r3d formats... chances are the devs just haven't had a chance to add the newer red formats yet, but if them adding support for 2 other popular raw formats recently is anything to go by,

RE: HEVC 10-Bit 422 and 420: Howsit Going, Magix [VP19 update below]?
HEVC is not a professional capture format. It is a delivery format. There is quite some evidence demonstrating 10-bit HEVC 422 SLOG3 can be just as effective quality wise compared to RAW formats that shoot linear and thus require a ton of storage

RE: HEVC 10-Bit 422 and 420: Howsit Going, Magix [VP19 update below]?
Many people prefer VEGAS over resolve, including owners of BlackMagic cameras. As a NLE, Resolve isn't the best. It colors great, but its workflow leaves a lot to be desired for many... after all, it's why we're here and not there. The fact is,

RE: HEVC 10-Bit 422 and 420: Howsit Going, Magix [VP19 update below]?
It's just sad that so much of the precious developer's teams time is spent on developing support for Blackmagic (!) RAW where I would have thought that BM camera users would preferably use their 'native' optimized editor Resolve rather than a more

RE: Great job Magix - Vegas pro 19
I will say I am surprised with the Trial, but let me preface by saying I am running dinosaur hardware (Q9650 processor which is a Core 2 Quad). The trial, using my normal 1080i Canon vixia footage is smooth as butter. I can even preview full speed

RE: When you "google" 10 best video editors..
I think it has a lot to do with advertising and a web "presence". Consumer editors will always get mentioned because of the cost and the sheer number of "consumer" users out that that buy the inexpensive software. When it comes to more professional

RE: Vegas 19 and ProRes Raw
It's still in beta form, so some clips may not load correctly. Same applies to BlackMagic RAW. They're hoping to have that sorted in the near future. So far, the ones I've tried do work. I did have a bug with BM RAW clips that required me to

RE: GH5 HEVC + VP19
Maybe I am wrong but I think that the industry-standard device for GPU decoding of video for editors is NVIDIA and not Intel QSV so I am not sure why they would overlook NVIDIA decoding for a codec used by Panasonic's very popular GH5 line. I know

RE: GH5 HEVC + VP19
I have given up on VP18 for the time being for the lack of HEVC 10bit 420 GPU timeline acceleration / playback support. I have mentioned this many times before. 422 not working at all, not even for a proxy workflow, is embarassing. Then spending

RE: Vegas Pro 19 : Disappointed!
While I think you have a very good list of improvement ideas, I think you dismiss the changes to VP 19- did you try them? Also this is the first build of VP 19 and it's been explained that there is a new model of continuous improvement (major

RE: GH5 HEVC + VP19
I meant that decoding for both H264 and H265 10bit codec is available on the Nvidia GPU -that is what is doing the heavy lifting in regards to the decoding and that code base as you said should be standardized at this point in time. I don't see

RE: GH5 HEVC + VP19
The same, I suspect, is no different for H265 Codec updates. Software devs actually have to pay money for it. Fxhome (Vegas effects/hitfilm) didn't allow you to import H265 videos for a very long time, specifically because the licensing costs. I
