  I don't think the 4:4:4 decoding support is for cameras... they probably have screen capture for gamers in mind. The newer gpus from Amd and Nvidia can put up 12-bit video if the monitor is capable. Also hdmi recorders can upscale across the cable

  That's not helpful advice. Camera files and screen captures are very different types of files and there are OBS settings that actually work very well in VEGAS (and others that don't). This isn't theoretical, it's from experience.
