RE: VEGAS Pro 23 – Bug & Issues Thread
Known issue only with ProRes4444 that should be fixed soon. Well, to me looks like not only ProRes is affected but also decoding old simple x-avc and avc-aac h.264 as the source media is also affected - the entire color engine might be broken.

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
@13Year_User Can you please share MediaInfo for the media you are having color issues with? You are not in ACES mode are you? Are you in 8 bit video or 32 bit video mode? Does a player match 21 or 23?

[Solved] Can´t open ProRes in Vegas 21
On the same computer I can open ProRes files in Vegas 15, but not in VP 21. I have enabled QuickTime plugin in "Deprecated Features". General Complete name                            : E:\Hemvideo\Super 8 Broberg\8mm film, 1280x720 50p, ProRes

    RE: HEIC problems - Vegas Pro 22 (194) ???
If we stipulate that the HEIC format might be more efficient with disk usage and possibly other factors not related to real-time video preview, the design doesn't appear to optimized for easy decoding and reassembling of (in the case of my iPad)

RE: Easier way to Chroma Key a Green screen?
I find that Vegas Color Corrector (Secondary) with alpha@0 works rather well when the knock-out color is uneven, as most green-screens will be unless the lighting is perfect. It allows dragging the dropper across the desired knock-out area to get a

    RE: Adjusting Highlights (Color Grading)
You can upload images and videos directly to the forum using the blue button. VEGAS doesn't have a highlights recovery slider but does have RL color wheels which can be tuned to bring down highlights and the curves feature.

    RE: Adjusting Highlights (Color Grading)
My understanding: RL (range limit) Color-Wheel gives you fine-tuning opportunities in the 3 areas Shadows, Middtones and Highlights. You can highlight anywhere but not in Highlights area.

    RE: Color grading in Vegas
Roger, for the color we do not know anything. How were the colors of the bricks at the location? Was the white balance correct? ACES will not work really here. All what you can do is a best guess. I have no idea what the bricks should look like

    RE: Text does not render
This is what I see when I opened that project (I added a solid color below the title to show the background was properly transparent.) That was lucky. Thank you for trying.

Feature requests: retain fx entering Multicam Edit & many event fx
When you go into Multicam Edit, all event fx are removed. Why? Why not leave them? I went through each event for each camera, color corrected, adjusted brightness and contrast, and added a little sharpness on one camera, then all that work

    RE: Multicam Workflow Question
For multicam, due to the formats I shoot in being hard to decode since my GPU doesn't support hardware decoding of those formats, I typically start by proxying all my files, then I set preview quality to Preview (best) to enable the proxies (any

RE: Correct way of DJI D-log M editing?
DJI does have a LUT for it to convert to Rec 709 HERE. With my Mini 3 Pro D-Cine, I've used the Color Panel to grade. Even using only the Color Curves, I've gotten some very good results.

RE: Rendering issues after GPU replacement (NVENC)
Hello, it's been two months since I've been able to update NVIDIA because of this rendering problem with VP22. At first, there were no issues, but now I can't even shut down my PC because of the outdated updates. What can I do? (I can't use VP23

As a workaround what if you use the look LUT function in the color grading panel? I haven't see a memory leak with the CGP.

There is a color shift in the clouds. I've seen it on my footage too. Inspect the clouds and compare how they look.

    RE: Broadcast Safe - V22 vs V17
I tested here with 8-bit legacy projects in 21 and 22 and the behavior seems the same. Adding a broadcast color set to extremely conservative after other edits (in this case color curves) tames superwhites back to 235. I tried a similar MXF render

RE: GoPro Hero 5 Black video probem
@Ruby888 #1. Is the screen capture the MP41 file? #2. Does the original have same issue?   Yes if you watch the road, the colors shift around, I am not sure whats causing this.

    RE: Color grading in Vegas
Do you care about file size? If not ProRes is a great choice. Does your source material require high color precision? If so 10 bit and 422 may help. Otherwise for SDR video 8 bit 420 h264 is easy to edit with ready to deliver color.

A choice of colors for markers (similar to that available in Resolve) with the R click (on a marker) color choice window offering custom naming of the colors so that the editor can use marker colors to identify specific needs or usages.

Why do I keep getting ads?
VP23. I keep getting an ad for color grading in VP23 tutorial. I have selected don't show this ad again, but it keeps popping up. I don't want to disable ads altogether. How do I get this ad to stop showing up?

RE: VEGAS Pro brightness darker than original file on preview and render
I think I might have the answer. The new version of VEGAS has an automatic color space correction function that is overriding the "do nothing" approach that 8-bit video levels had. If you hold shift and go to options and enter internal preferences,
