RE: Adding yet another multicam track fails
I think all edits like that are lost on entering multicam mode. I recommend doing multicam first to get a rough edit then expanding back out the tracks and polishing from there.

RE: Adding yet another multicam track fails
I may be suffering from faulty memory, it's been a decade since I made a multicam project. I can check it out early next week.

RE: Adding yet another multicam track fails
Hi, thanks for reverting! However due to the earlier edits on the multicam, I notice that the transitions that were made carefully in the earlier edits are then getting lost. Is there any way to retain those when exiting multicam mode? Or do I

RE: Adding yet another multicam track fails
You need to exit multicam mode temporarily, and open it on a new track.

Adding yet another multicam track fails
Hi, I have a multicam project (to which I am quite new) in Vegas Pro 18. So far all went well with two camera tracks. I made nice edits and transitions. Now further in the movie I wanted to add some footage where the multicam was only having a

RE: VEGAS Pro Feature Requests
@RogerS It amplifies the waveforms, only the graphics, not the actual sound volume. As I said, it affects all events. The way I use it is I amplify the waveform when some of the events have weak audio to help me align my multicam clips together.

RE: Stabilization - Vegas Pro vs Movie Studio
There's not much learning curve in my experience, though I made the switch about 8 years ago. I wanted multicam, more tracks, etc. Minimizing my learning curve is a plus :-). I'm assuming that you've been very pleased with Vegas Pro. Good to know.

RE: 10 HD cameras => preview in 12 fps :-(
Your best bet is to create lightweight proxies for your project source, and turn off multicam mode when not needed.

RE: Replace camera audio with sync ex audio
The "feature" in your older version was either multicam slaved SMPTE / Genlock timecode, or it was Pluraleyes, which does show up in the menu dropdown. I've been syncing 32-mic, six-sub, three-recorder live performances in Vegas since 2002 (VV2),

RE: fast VP15 rendering at last....
Have you tried putting a .mp4 file on the DVD in addition to AVCHD? This format also existed in 2008 (Canon 5dMKII shot in it) and should work on just about every computer. It works with NVENC GPU renders.I understand you want speed- a new computer

RE: fast VP15 rendering at last....
Thanks RogerS I totally agree with your comments.. unfortunately these formats are the requirements that I have... circa 2008 is still alive and kicking in the land of funerals and weddings in small town NZ.. nothing fancy here... I was hopefully

RE: Extremely slow response while multiple tracks edit
Special reasons not to use the Multicam options of the Tools menu and or the use of proxies for the heaviest files? I only shot in FHD 25m 50p XAVC file, it's not a big file at all

RE: Capturing HDV with clips based on date of original recording.
If it is not a multicam project with slaved freerun timecode, then just naming the saved output sequentially should work for you as does importing anything in Windows. Good luck.

V18 brought back some old issues
Hi all, just gave 18 a test run and did a part of a new multicam project on it. What I noticed is that it runs noticeably slower in multicam mode than 17. 4 exports crashed V18 until I had to do the old trick...set ram to 0 and disable GPU. A few

RE: vegasaur DV avi proxies slower than mxf originals
@Musicvid In its current state, ProxyAssist should not be used for multicam projects. Since multicam projects use Takes for switching, there is a conflict since ProxyAssist also uses Takes. When Vegas creates a multicam track, it gets rid of the the

vegasaur DV avi proxies slower than mxf originals
Hi all working in V17 on another multicam with 2 mxf from Sony FS7, one XAVCS from an A7S and one prores 422 track. as the preview is pretty much stuttering on any setting, I decided to try out the Vegasaur proxybuilder with the default avi DV pal

RE: fast VP15 rendering at last....
Hi there I have finally splashed out and added a new video card that is expected to work 'hand in hand' with the i5 (as per the bottleneck calculator site), its a GTX 1050Ti, in order to get better render times and faster workflow.. ! I have set

prores 422 completely out of synch with mfx files
Hi all I'm working on a multicam project with 3 mxf clips from Somny FS7 and 1 prores 422 recorded on an atomos, recorded from a Sony FS7 over HDMI. While synching ( visually with the help of the audio waves, like I always do ) all 3 cams do just

RE: Switching between multi-track camera shots besides multi-camera tool?
You could try inserting video composite level envelopes on your tracks to fade or pop them in and out of view. Or use pip FX full screen while animating the opacity. Multicam edit mode does it with splitting and muting.

RE: Vegas 18 hangs after a while
My impression is that it's a buffer management issue peculiar to v18. Gotten less frequent with each update as they cure other bugs but not gone yet. My workflow involves doing audio envelope editing first with just a simple video track visible so I

RE: a few thoughts about Vegas multicam editing
It would be almost trivial for them to automatically save track fx as a filter pack when making the multicam track and restoring it when expanding back. Same for the track names... they seem to save them in the clip name field anyway but neglect to

a few thoughts about Vegas multicam editing
Hi all working on and completing a recent mutlicam project, I had a couple of ideas that came up when I ran intio a few more or less minor issues I came to consider as not practical. In general, I find Vegas to work really well and easy for
