    RE: Motion Tracking jitters
@Roger Bansemer To avoid any confusion, I suggest you change the heading for your post to 'Motion Tracking', which is different to 'Track Motion'. Having said that, it doesn't immediately look as if you're doing anything wrong. I suggest you first

    RE: Add background blur
Vegas has blur Fx and bezier masking with motion tracking- check "mask Fx" in bezier masking to blur Fx after it in the plugin chain.

RE: VEGAS Pro Update 3 - new feature tutorials, benchmark comparisons
The one thing I want to see is Vegas be stable. I've lost count the amount of times I keep wasting using the program. Support helped me at least to get it running again providing I am in the Administration profile. I tried Smart Mask 2 and Vegas

RE: VEGAS Pro Update 3 - new feature tutorials, benchmark comparisons
Here's the final result. The first 5 frames are messed up, and there's a little bit of video to the right of her that didn't get properly masked out, I could easily clean that up by refining the smart mask or just masking those areas to her right

RE: Changing video speed ruins everything.
:( I have to admit I'm not too enthused about that answer. If I'm understanding you right, this will result in several copies of the same clip... with different layers of effects applied. And if I have to change something on the base layer, I have

RE: How do I create this intro in VP 18?
@huskereurocat Hi, I don't know if you can follow this & this is in VP21 but I believe all these options are in VP18, Vegas doesn't save keyframes & any effect/transition you add to an event on the timeline would either be lost when you

Will you accidentally roll the wheel when pressing mouse wheel?
I always think it is a strange decision to assign the task of panning preview to the middle mouse button. Panning the preview window has become a very common operation for users when making masks or motion tracking. Whenever I press the middle mouse

RE: How to prevent auto-resize? What's the point of "disable resample"?
There are two traditional methods of doing this in Vegas that work in all versions. These two examples use a Project Size of 1920x1080, and a Media Size of 648x648. The simplest method uses Event Pan/Crop If you have multiple events, you can use

RE: How do I resize and position an image?
Pan Crop is far better than track motion for resizing despite its limitations, because it treats the image at its native resolution. Track motion treats at project resolution. I do all my zoom/pans on stills with Pan Crop, never track motion.

    RE: Vegas Pro Post 365
It's just their community forums that were "retired" so users set up new ones. If my memory serves me correctly, this was also the first "symptom" that Artlist was killing FX Home, shutting down their forums. Since Magix has put out an official

    RE: Picture In Picture
Ok, I'm not seeing anything odd in any of these images. It's best to use the tools to perform their desired task: 1. Pan/Crop - affects the one event - designed to crop an image and allow panning across the image. In this case, you would not be

RE: How to prevent auto-resize? What's the point of "disable resample"?
I imported the Photoshop image and put it under the VEGAS one, lined them up and it's exactly the same size. To move the small image around freely now, use track motion (track level). Consider adding "disable resizing of still media" to the feature

Vegas Pro 20 Track, can't choose the right thing
I explain my problem in this video: basically it put the tracked values into "motionblur.shutter angle" instead of "hotspot" aka position. It works fine with the normal LensFlare, but it's bugged with the s_lensflare (sapphire)It's so frustrating

yes it's not quantized....I actually do that for a reason for my editing flow and later visibility, I know it's weird. I don't change the project setting once I start the editing...I actually delete the audio track later. Correct, about the

RE: add keyframe with pan crop on video track script
@marcinzm First of all Pan/Crop is an EVENT tool so you can't add "Pan/Crop" keyframes to anything except an event. If you truly want pan/crop, you'll have to do it at the event level. Now if you want it on the TRACK level, you can use Track

    3D motion tracking
I am wondering if Vegas Pro can perform a 3D motion tracking. Example I have seen others do is in this video : Look for the text that says "Final Run" on the doors at the end. This was added in the video edit. Another example The text states "2.3

RE: How do I resize and position an image?
Pan Crop is far better than track motion for resizing despite its limitations, because it treats the image at its native resolution. Which is why you use it to CROP an crop (i.e. zoom in on the clip). To then resize it (smaller) and position it,

RE: Could I edit a piece of my video above these black bars?
Place another instance of your video on the track above, use pan/crop with a mask to size it, and use Track Motion to move it around. It only seems tricky the first time you try it.

RE: Speculating on the Next VEGAS Pro Version - What are Your Expectations
One thing I want to be sure to point out, just like with Vegas 20, Vegas 21 is going to be an evolving platform. The feature set that you see at release is not going to be the final feature set, more features are going to be added with each update.

RE: Adding Pointer/Coursor on screen to video without Screen Recording?
Make a pointer on an Alpha Image in an image editor. Place it on the top track. Move it around using Track Motion. You can Keyframe and Automate the motion to suit your needs.
