RE: Vegas 22 Pro - HDR still unusable (for me)
A workaround I have found to the above problem when using the Default(ACES2065-1) colorspace is as follows; 1. Create your HDR10 video using the Default(ACES2065-1) colorspace and View transform to "Rec.2020 ST2084 1000 nits (ACES)" 2. Open the

RE: Correct way of DJI D-log M editing?
If you are working with 10-bit log, at least before rendering you need to change it to 32-bit full with view transform off if you intend to use a LUT or CGP for grading. You might do this at the media level and then tweak as needed at the event

RE: Vegas color grading vs other tools
I think spend time to learn the Vegas color graph approach and you might appreciate it more. The implementation in Graide is a little better as you can easily make selections of multiple points. I also come from a photo correction background and

RE: Two files from same camera - one clip plays, next one stutters
For this type of recording, 8K is definitely not necessary. 4K is sufficient. But it is amazing how much you can get out of this 10-bit 4:2:0 material with color grading. The result itself is also amazing if you only export it in 8-bit 4:2:0. The

RE: Color Correcting / Grading CLOG3 Footage & Vegas Limitations?
The LUTs I linked to are technical LUTs for Canon cameras by Canon depending on what you're trying to do (HDR or regular DR). Colorfast 2 is a NewBlue product that came with some version of VEGAS I got and has been with me ever since. You don't have

RE: VEGAS Pro 22 Build 194 General Discussion
Vegas looks to be reading source duration metadata when it should be reading duration, padding the video out to make it longer and causing audio desync. Format profile : Main 10@L5.2@MainHDR

RE: 10 Bit Video in Vegas Pro 22 - What Project Settings to Use?
off: i'm interested in this cam. Mind you share some short 10bit footage so we can see the advantages? That's going to take some time. Many of the advantages are found in color grading and editing. But I haven't even figured out how to edit any

RE: Everything slower and more unstable in VP21 300
Until recently for the most part the only thing I use the CGP (Color Grading Panel?) was for was to add a LUT. I think this panel has caused a number of issues in the past. Using "Undo" with the panel simply open takes an undo command 10x longer I

RE: Vegas from Sony to now
You've summed up the problem with Vegas at the start of your reply. Why on earth is there even an 8 bit legacy setting required in 2024 when most of us are now using 64 bit multi-core processors and accelerated codecs in hardware! Is there an 8 bit

RE: V-Log clip render output looks different to preview
For your v-log footage, use the ACES transformation ACEScc, what is great for log footage. ACEScct is fine too, but adds a „toe“ to encoding. See here: https://blog.frame.io/2019/09/09/guide-to-aces/ I tend to use ACEScc for my v-log footage of my

RE: [Solved] Render to 4k make artefacts and random dropping frames
So you are not looking any more for a solution of your rendering, showing bloking artefacts? Fine for me. For the rest: generally spoken, a 32bit workflow delivers a higher quality result, especially if you base that on 10 or 12bit footage (or

RE: Color checker
Vegas doesn't have custom ICC color profile import or saving capabilities for either preview or output. It's an interesting concept, though. Vegas will save custom LUTS from the Color Panel, if that's of help.

[Feature Request] AI Bit Depth Expansion like Topaz -- Remarkable

@Norbert Nothing yet like in DaVinci Resolve. I would probably create the bars in Vegas in Media Generators in the Color Gradient category. Of course you would have to learn how to manipulate the controls in the Color Gradient designer. Once done,
