RE: DirectX FX as Track Inserts
Unfortunately, I don't have Sound Forge. It's becoming clear that to really use Vegas you have to have Sound Forge too. This ups the price from a $500 piece of software, to a $900 piece of software. It seems that Sonic Foundry ought to bundle the

RE: DirectX FX as Track Inserts
To use off-time processing; right click your track and open it in Sound Forge, when you "save" the changes appear back in Vegas. I duplicate (drag off) my tracks in Sound Forge so as to not loose the original track. That way you can always go

I forgot why SF said this could not be done. What does Cubase do that allows it to use Direct X on inserts- in real time? Brett Sherman wrote: >>This is the paradox: >> >>Users say, "We want all directX effects available as

    DirectX FX as Track Inserts
This is the paradox: Users say, "We want all directX effects available as inserts" Sonic Foundry says, "To maintain real-time processing only certain effects will work" There is a solution. Who says all processing has to be real- time. If the

I've solved my problem: bought a SCSI Quantum 9GB 7200 RPM hard drive -- droputs are gone! Working like a dream... Thought I'd let everyone know in case anyone is having similar issues. Carl Saff wrote: >>Hello -- >> >>My

Thanks George, It doesn't help much but at this point I'll take anything. I had the Event Gina...and I upgraded (or thought I was) to the Delta 1010. I need more than 2 ins for the home studio (as you know a Hammond B-3 is a lot to haul so the

No need to chase them down. You are right, we are aware of the problems with SMPTE/MTC with the 1.0 release. Look for an update that solves all of this soon. (Real soon!) Peter Warren Sampson wrote: >>Name it...I've had it! Blue screens,

    RE: Repair utility
Name it...I've had it! Blue screens, page faults in Vegas.exe, mouse freezes, tracks that drop out of record in the middle of a take, takes that are slipped forward or back in time (i.e. NOT in sync), playback that continues in Vegas even after

I have seen this before. I had to remove the PCI-324 for it to go away. I then installed it in a different physical slot and I have not seen the problem again. I have contacted MOTU on this, but as of yet, have not heard anything. Peter mcm

Peter, I have been trying to pin down what makes my system crash and have not come up with anything except it is not just happening in Vegas. Today I was working in Sound Forge 4.0e (build 219) just playing back a stereo 44.1 .wav file and twice

    RE: Vegas crashes computer
There is a problem with the MTC that is being fixed. The drop outs are due to a loss of sync that Vegas thinks happens. It also may be causing some of the other issues you are seeing. Q: Do you have the problem if you record with out using

Hi Caleb: My video card is an ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP 2x with 4 megs and I just down loaded and installed the newest drivers yesterday. The MOTU 2408 has their newest driver PCI324R2. I am using DA-88's and transfering tracks in digital using word
