RE: 3D sync with 50i cameras
" I think Vegas treats a s3D track much like a multicam track and aligns the clips with corresponding fields." Maybe you are right and Vegas does exaclty that. Because more cannot be done by the NLE. But even that is not accurate enough, because

RE: 3D sync with 50i cameras
I still think that it is a bug. If you put 50i clips into a 50p project, then Vegas should not be concerned with fields, except to convert them to full frames. I think Vegas has to be concern which field is which. I am not sure of the inner

RE: Multi camera
Put the new video clip above your multicam track and, after synching, split and delete anything in the new clip that you don't want to include.

RE: Vegas Pro 13 and New BCC 10 for OFX
Brought this from another forum page, I posted it on April 20. Yes, BCC 10 is out and I received my update yesterday and have been working with it ever since, in my "spare" time. Looks like things are working even better than BCC 9 and the new

>>>>Try 4K multicam editing and see how well Vegas does with it Good point, but if I were to take on a 4k multicam project, I would seriously consider using proxies. Almost all 4k production that I'm aware of in Hollywood gets edited

RE: NAB 2016 - No Sony Creative Software Showing???
So, please share your workflow. I am working in multicam for the past 5 years and even 1080 60p is a pain in a 5 cam shot. Unless, you are working with proxies.

RE: NAB 2016 - No Sony Creative Software Showing???
@Steve You must have a hyper machine to be able to handle 4K multicam editing unless you are working with proxies. Please let me know your system specs so I can build my own.

RE: NAB 2016 - No Sony Creative Software Showing???
Whats so bewildering about 4K multicam in Vegas OldSmoke? I work with, edit and output 4K content in Vegas for Broadcast on a regular basis. I have no issues whatsoever!... Once you are an experienced Vegas user and knows what you are doing, there's

RE: Review
The big differences are in the detail. Multicam editing, unlimited audio and video tracks, just to name a few. Good luck with Premiere!

RE: Vegas Alternatives
@OldSmoke The Multicam is the best. For live events with multiple cameras you can CC in the angle editor so for example, You CC all your cams in the first number of the night which may be well lit, then start cutting in your main project, then you

RE: Vegas Alternatives
@Jedman That is exactly how I felt and coming from iMovie made it even easier. Too bad my trial already already expired on my iMac. But I must say my 2010 iMac handled XAVC-S 100Mb from my AX100 quite well. I also watched a tutorial on multicam

RE: Vegas vs. Catalyst review
I cant believe that I am saying this but I am honestly looking into the latest FCPX. Now that multicam editing is back and at $299.00 it seems a great bargain. Just need yo test how well it runs on my i7 iMac.

RE: Test Sony Vegas: rendering i7-4790, GTX-580, Quick
@Cliff Yes I still recommend the AMD cards, Nvidia is still far behind when it comes to OpenCL.My projects are mostly multicam and 30% 4K and the rest is full HD. I have no issues with my system, it could be a bit faster for 4K but it is stable and

MultiCam set up...
Am I missing something ? I have 2 mointors...one for workflow and one for monitoing. I have 3 video files/cameras I want to set up so I can: 1) have 2 video tracks in the timeline (so I can do crop and pan on each track) 2) Show all three video

RE: Are there any pro editors still using Vegas?
@Theo22 I am all up for change I tried that 3 years back. I tried Avid, Edius and PP but none of those NLE are as good as Vegas when it comes to multicam editing. If any of those would have a workflow similar to Vegas, I would jump but they don't.

RE: Are there any pro editors still using Vegas?
I know it has 4 cores. Oh yes it does make a huge difference. I run my 2600K at 4.3GHz with the GTX460 to get proper HDV multicam editing but AVCHD is far more compute intensive, especially at 50p or 60p in my case. Transitions also require a fast

Can't edit multicam on external monitor
I have been able to set up an external monitor for my laptop successfully in "extend" mode (actually using my HD TV) with Vegas 12. When doing multicam editing, I can view the different camera angles on the external monitor just fine, including the
