  Re the first question, one way in Vegas Pro to do this is to add a black Media Gen to an upper track, reduce its opacity to taste, then in pan/crop add a mask to the bottom area of the image and use feathering to taste. Then fine-tune the feathering

  I did not find 3D space in my bag of VP16 tricks. Just to check that you are using Track Motion in the track header, not Pan/Crop - LH arrow above. The RH arrow shows where the dropdown menu is in Track Motion where 3D Source Alpha can be selected

  The problem is it wont let me use those black spaces in the bottom or at the top of the screen. The media will just dissapear when I move it up or down. I already have my preview set to 1080 x 1920 to see how it will look. Just use Track Motion, not

  @formingus I don't have portrait video so this is landscape but the theory is the same, I can't see your project aspect, it looks smaller than the inserted image so you may want to change the size, As Reyfox says, Picture in Picture is a bit

  @Ialwaysneedhelp Not quite sure what you mean, 'full screen'? if the project is 1080 x 1920 but the media events are 1920 x 1080 there's going to be blank spaces above/below unless you crop/enlarge the added media, see here i enlarged the media

  @Ialwaysneedhelp Hi, you need to use Track Motion prob, there's a couple of ways of doing it, try some of the things mentioned in this link where someone wanted to place a pic on a portrait clip

  VEGAS Motion tracking lack 1 ability, which is the ability to change/conform the tracking/mask with the tracked data. So ur best option is to manually roto (mask via Pan/Crop) frame by frame.
