Check your email for the announcement as the price is definitely $139, not $239.

Never mind.

I just got the promo email offering $139
They're a little late.... Grrrrrr!
I'll have to write them and see if I can get my $100 back.

It is certainly not the 1st of April where I live. Nowhere do I see 139.95 USD on the link. Mine shows 239 USD and no extras. Am I missing something?

Look for a rather LATE email

Many emails will not arrive for 24 hours or more. That is what Forum Admin posted and that is pretty much the normal. In the past, mine have come days later. No biggie. They give us plenty of time for the offer and plenty of time on the trail.

For those having trouble with the link--- you need to be signed on here and have your software already registered -- or -- use any promotional offer that was sent to you.

If you didn't receive a promotional offer through your email, then register your software on this website under "My Account" --> "My Software". After your products appear there with serial numbers, then you should see upgrade offers on that same page.

I haven't received any promotional email, at least yet, so thank you j razz for posting the link here so I could take advantage of it.

Be aware though, the license to particleillusion is only for 6 months, something I realized only after choosing it as the free item. I emailed Sony to see if they can let me switch to one of the other free items, since particleillusion looks pretty good but six months is not a lot of time.

Seminar series or Sound Effects as the free download. Anybody have experience with these two products? I have the first three Digital Juice Sound FX sets. Not sure if Sound Effects will add much.

Just noticed that the seminar series is $90 and the sound effects are $10. Sounds like it's worth getting the seminar series and just buying the sound effects for $10. Am I missing something?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

mekelly, I have all four DJ SFX collections and the Sony collection has nothing that I didn't already have.
Get the seminar series as you might learn useful something from it.

Just got the email here, about 30 minutes ago. Went to the store (clicked the link in the email), and made the purchase. I took the Seminar Series freebie. I will download the file tonight, and install on Windows 7 64-bit. I can't wait to see how the pairing handles AVCHD files, with 8GB of RAM. It would make my life much easier if I didn't have to transcode everything...

Great pricing SCS!

WARNING: DO NOT POST OR SHARE YOUR PROMOTIONAL EMAIL LINK WITH ANYONE!!!

If you have done so already, DELETE IT!!! Each valid owner must use their own personalized link to redeem this offer. You are letting others "piggyback" on YOUR account if you share your promotional offer with anyone!

[i]anybody got their $100 BACK?[i]

Yes. Contacted Customer Service and it was refunded. Should have been handled better with a "preorder" offer or immediately available upgrade option. SCS should have this together by version 10....
jrazz wrote on 10/11/2010, 11:09 AM
The link above is still valid and anyone can use it. Just be sure you are logged in to the forum/your account. If it is available to you, you will see the pricing.

Click the link in your email. It has an embeded promo code for the discount.
Kevin R wrote on 10/11/2010, 11:17 AM
jrazz,

FYI--- Your link works ONLY if you are logged in AND have registered your software AND are eligible for the $139 offer, otherwise it shows the $239 price.

A more general link for upgrade offer is:
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/buy/upgrades

This link also shows $139 or $239 depending on log-in and eligibility.
mekelly wrote on 10/11/2010, 11:29 AM
Anybody know the criteria to get the $139 price instead of the $239 price? I am only being offered the higher price, but I have a registered copy of Pro 8 (and I am logged in).
Kevin R wrote on 10/11/2010, 11:31 AM
Have you registered your copy so the serial number appears in "My Account" --> "My Software"?

I am informed by Customer Service that you can also call to receive the offer.
mekelly wrote on 10/11/2010, 11:32 AM
Yes. I guess I need to call.

Hi,

I never got this email nor have I received the emails in the past. I am signed up to received SCS emails since I license Acid, Sound Forge, Vegas, etc. I always check the forums now immediately after KVR sends out the "new version" alert.

One thing I noticed and perhaps others could verify: When signed into the SCS near the top of the web page it says "Hello MyReal Name" but in the ordering or upgrade sections it only says
"Hello" - no name is listed. Would people who are having issues verify this? I think this is the issue.

For instance while logged in when I select the $239 upgrade it asks for my serial - IE8 and Firefox. I enter my serial and then get the page with the $239 price. Solution? I called SCS and received a code. That gave me the right price. But what about the Freebies? You'll get those too.

No I won't post the code.

- granted

You might want to check your spam filter.

granted -

I guess that's my problem. I am seeing the same behavior you reported. I am on hold with SCS now.
